Universal Health Coverage(UHC) is defined as access to the quality health service without the risk of financial hardships or without being pushed to extreme poverty due to catastrophic health expenditure. Even if, the system constructed to produce access to health service, it also has a significant effect on poverty elimination and economic growth. Besides the pressure from a High prevalence of disease in Africa, the additional reason for focusing into UHC is a moral one: most people are suffering for something that is preventable by integrated health service delivery.
Accepting and integration of UHC in the national policy level is not enough, the national policies should be implemented into the ground. still, Africa is facing a challenge in spite of the national UHC police, with regard to poor health service, out pocket expenditure, inaccessibility of health service.There is no single fit rode to succeed universal health coverage in Africa. All policies and strategies should consider each country local conditions. Even though, Africa is a highly diversified continent most of the problems are common to all countries. Africa should work to strength the foundation of universal health coverage temple; such as peace, good governance, and health system funding. In addition, Africa should also work on strengthening the pillars of UHC temple such as Health information, health professional, medical products and service delivery.
