Science has been an area of interest from my secondary school, especially physics and mathematics which I always enjoyed studying. Although I remained high achiever in rest of the subjects as well which were also enjoyable and enlightening but subjects of science attracted me the most. This interest led me to excel in these subjects and I achieved A* in O levels in these subjects.
My intense interest in the fields of physics and mathematics led me to take Engineering majors in A-Levels. This gave me further exposure in these fields which only reinforced and solidify my interests in the worlds of physics and mathematics. My goal was to achieve excellent result in A Levels as well, and through hard work and my passion in the subjects, I achieved A*s in A-Level as well.Since the beginning of O levels, I have always been concerned about the underlying concepts and laws behind physics and mathematics. I did not merely want to know the laws or formulas but to discover the actual science behind them.
However, at the high school level the opportunities to unravel these mysteries were not so abundant. This curiosity defines my passion to pursue these fields.My journey of knowledge of science has just begun and I believe I have a long way to go. I plan my future in the fields of research and development as a scientist and I want to go to the highest level to gain knowledge and achieve excellence. My dream is to go to MIT for post-graduation as it is the best institute in the world to pursue my passion.I am very aware of the excellent reputation of Bilkent University being the number 1 university in Turkey, and my conversations with several of your alumni have served to deepen my interest in attending.
I know that, in addition to your excellent faculty, your facilities in the physics are among the best in the country. I hope you will give me the privilege of continuing my studies at your fine institution and to provide me with an ideal platform to land on my future ambitions and dreams.
