The State Government of Andhra Pradesh submitted the proposal to Central
Government on 3rd January 2014 and the same was approved and published
officially in gazette on 26th June, 2015.

The second largest, sanctuary spread over 460 sq. kms in Andhra Pradesh and
Tamilnadu which attracts winter migratory birds and is important feeding
ground for variety of aquatic and terrestrial birds.

As per the notification, the extent of Extent of Eco-sensitive zone is two kilometers
from north to south all along the western boundary.

01. The State Government Was asked to prepare Zonal Master
Plans within a time frame of 2 years
considering the ecological principles
including the consulting of local people
and respecting the stipulations in
notifications.
Regulate the development in Eco-
sensitive zones and ensure Eco-friendly
Development for livelihood security of
local community.
It should also include the decisions of
Tourism Master Plans.

(CPWD) has prepared a detailed
manual for state Government and other
Governmental Institutions for execution
of ‘Budgeted Funds Works’.
The procedure is to be followed very
strictly to ensure transparency and
fairness and efficient use of public funds.
Depending on to the allocation of funds
(be it completely local fund, union
government’s budgetary provisions or
completely funded by Union
Government), the state government
initiates the specific project related
activities.
‘Technical Sanction’ and ‘Financial
