The Walking Dead
Just imagine the horrific repetitive dreams of your death after being shot in the line of duty. These dreams or should I say nightmares, like an out of body experience replaying repeatedly for 4 to 5 weeks, in your mind believing this is reality. Finally, you rise to dead silence as you gather yourself and try to fit the puzzle pieces together. You now realize you were dreaming the whole time because you were in Acoma. The horror that lies ahead is unspeakable, devastating, extremely bloody and full of gore
The series centers on sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes, who awakens from a coma discovering a world overrun by zombies, or as the characters refer the walkers. Rick Grimes reunites with his family and becomes the leader of a group he forms with other survivors. Together they struggle to survive and adapt in a post-apocalyptic world filled with walkers, even worse the other survivors they encounter, are often more dangerous than the walkers themselves. Fighting to survive from hordes of zombies, most of all large groups of survivors that will do just about anything to survive. Much of the series takes place in and around Atlanta, Georgia, and later Alexandria, Virginia.
Just a few episodes into the series we discover that all living humans carry the pathogen responsible for the mutation. This mutation is only activated after the death of the pathogen’s host, and the only way to kill a walker is to destroy its brain, even if decapitated the body may die but the head will still be alive.
