Infertility is found in a couple that has been having unprotected intercourse within a year and is still unfortunate to conceive.
For the most couple, it might seem easy to have a baby but not for other couples because there might be some problems causing this it might be for many reasons. Infertility could be caused by either the female or male something has is going on any side. If so then one of them has to get analyze to try to see what the issue causing infertility is. Infertility affects 13-15% of couples around the entire world. Couples are suggested to start treatment if they want to continue and get pregnant, that’s if the couple wants to continue. The causes of infertility are caused by either the male or female. In cases when the male is the problem, it could be because varicocele which is swelling of veins that drain the testicles and this reduces the quality of sperm.
Another cause is infections this could interfere with the health of the sperm and could even cause scarring that may be blocking the sperm’s path. Retrograde ejaculation issues are also causes of infertility this is when semen enters the bladder due to diabetes, spinal injuries, and surgery of the bladder. Defects of tubules that transport sperm that is caused by trauma, abnormal development, and injury. Other causes could be chromosomes defects, celiac disease, medications, and undescended testicles. In other cases, the female could be the cause of infertility.
One of the most common causes of infertility could be due to ovulation. If a woman is not ovulating then that means she is not producing any eggs. This could happen to the woman that are irregular with their menstrual cycle. When a female is having difficulty ovulating then this is often called (PCOS) Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or (POI) Primary Ovarian Insufficiency. Other less cause that causes infertility in women could be blocked fallopian tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, or surgery. Another cause could be physical problems with the uterus. Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous clumps of tissue and muscle on the walls of the uterus. For all these causes there is a treatment that could be done.
There are many types of treatment that could be done to solve infertility problems. One of the treatment could be by taking medication which are Clomiphene and gonadotropins these medications regulate your reproductive hormones and help the release of the eggs. The woman that is on this medication for at least 3-6 months and then proceed to the next step. The Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a treatment which involves placing sperm inside a female’s uterus. Another treatment is called In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) which is when eggs are mixed with sperm and if any of them are successfully fertilized then the embryos are transferred to the uterus. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICIS) instead of mixing the sperm with the eggs, a sperm is physically injected into an egg to make it easier for fertilization. Once the egg and sperm are fertilized it’s placed into the uterus. There is also another option which is considered getting donor eggs and embryos which are considered to be healthy.
The last option to consider is Gestational Surrogacy another female is carrying the parent’s baby. Which means the mother and father embryos are placed into the uterus. One of these many treatments has to work for a couple that is infertile. Like in many other things there are consequences trying these treatments for the first time doesn’t guarantee that they will be successful, it might not work the first try but maybe the second or third time might be successful. There might be a physical and emotional exhaustion but at the end, you will get the result you want to obtain.
But there are also many couples that don’t have the opportunity to start the treatments because they are very expensive and many couple couples might not be financially stable to proceed with the treatment. Couples that have difficulty with fertility go through son many things but the female is the one that goes through more. I think that this whole couple infertility is so unfair I think that every couple that is desiring to have a baby should have the opportunity to experience that and sacrifice whatever it takes to become a parent. Infertility could also have a lot to do with the certain age that the couple has mostly women because it effects female that are age 35 and over, they are less likely to conceive. For a couple to be infertile is a very difficult thing to go through and it’s even more difficult when the couple is really trying really bad to have a baby. Once they have all their options then the last option they could possibly have is to adopt a child. Family’s that are really trying to have a child don’t even care if it’s not even their own blooded child.
I think a couple is nice and lucky to be able to get pregnant at the first chance that they try too even if they not expecting a baby. Infertility affects many couples in the world. The way couple lives their life also affects fertility and what in of habits they have. If you smoke or drink alcohol occasionally they will reduce the ability to be able to have a baby.
Obesity can also affect fertility problems and so can some diseases. Even some illegal drugs can also affect fertility issues. All of these causes affect the ability to be able to conceive.
