Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist who developed the theory of relativity one of the two pillars of modern physics .
His work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science. He is best known by the general public for his mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2 which has been dubbed “the world’s most famous equation”. He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in physics “for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the important step in the evolution of quantum theory. Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879. Beginning with a bunch of papers in 1905, he turned classical physics on its head with his special and general theories of relativity, which revolutionized scientists’ understanding of everything from space and time to gravity and energy.
Einstein’s groundbreaking scientific ideas made his name a synonym for genius, but he was also famous for his pacifist support of the civil rights movement.
